BEGIN SMALL TOWN MUSIC:

BEGIN SMALL TOWN MUSIC:

The cave may have been the shelter of his birth, but it wasn’t the cave that served as Centaurus’s home. Long before his memories began, Centaurus was sent to a small village on the other side of the world, known to only a few as Birka.

Guall: There are many misconceptions about the town that Centaurus grew up in. The common traveler can take a look into our gates and just assume that we’re a small backwater village with four huts and some baskets of bananas. But anyone who has set foot onto our soil and spoken to enough of our people will know that we have a thriving city erected underneath, where we mass-produce slave drones and anti-venom for the distinguishing connoisseur. The homely living was just a front. Of course, Centaurus never knew that. When he still lived here, the underground city had yet to be a glimmer in anyone’s eyes, so in a way, it had absolutely nothing to do with Centaurus’s life. Makes me wish I never brought it up. Our slave drones were supposed to be kept secret.
